The largest development project Iraq has witnessed in more than 45 years.

The Minister explained that the Rose City project represents a qualitative shift from building neighborhoods and residential complexes to creating an integrated city planned according to modern urban standards based on the concepts of environmental sustainability, clean energy, and thermal insulation to provide an integrated living environment for residents. He added that the project will include various residential units, hospitals, universities, commercial markets, and recreational areas, in addition to vast green spaces, job opportunities, and integrated services. He noted that the project extends over an area of 24,000 dunams and includes approximately 100,000 housing units to be built in three phases. Rikani pointed out that Rose City is located near the Army Canal Road, approximately 17 kilometers from the capital, and that construction has begun on a highway connecting the area to the project. He indicated that a group of adjacent plots of land have been distributed to Ministry of Defense personnel, with future plans for additional expansions.
